Children’s Heart Surgery Fund was founded in 1988. Since then, they have awarded over £10 million in grants to the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, its patients and their families, as well as funding important research proposals.
It’s all thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the general public and our corporate supporters, and by the amazing efforts of our fundraisers.
During our 30th anniversary year in 2018, they produced a celebration magazine which is available to read here. This magazine also included information about the Save Our Surgery (SOS) campaign, which CHSF successfully ran with your help to keep the Heart Unit open.
They have supported Mrs Carroll and her family through Albie’s heart surgery and beyond, so we decided to run a ‘Wear Red for Albie’ day on February, where we raised £502 for CHSF. Below, you’ll be able to see the video CHSF made of Albie.
